" Both of my daughter's really enjoy learning piano from their teacher Kasia Haroldsen.  She is thoughtful and flexible when it comes to working with our family.    Kasia's teaching has really helped nourish their existing love for music and the girls always look forward to their lessons.   As a very traditional mother,  with traditonal values, I really appreciate Kasia's multicultural background that I know contributes to her love and value for music in her own heart"

I am a seventy year old woman with a piano that sat for several years unused. I have always wanted to play the piano so decided that rather than get rid of the piano I would learn to play and enjoy it.  Kasia Haroldsen was the choir director at our church so I asked her about lessons. She began teaching me the traditional way of playing but suggested I might enjoy learning the Simply Music way. I was reluctant at first because I wanted to play like everyone else and wasn't sure what this method would end up teaching me. But I consented to try for one month and by the second lesson committed to two months. I am now finishing my third month. It is really fun and I never mind practicing each and every day; in fact, I look forward to it. I have ten memorized songs and three of them with variations to the original way I learned to play them. It is easy to play and the variety of songs in level one have given me an interesting repertoire even as a beginner.

Kasia is an excellent teacher. She is patient as I try to learn the new patterns and willingly, and kindly, repeats information and answers questions that probably seem obvious to her. I cannot think of any reason that a beginner, especially the young and maybe a little reluctant, or the older adult could not learn from this method and especially from the teacher, Kasia Haroldsen. I have found her to be flexible and cooperate with lessons but has expectations that her students be committed and have a reasonable degree of discipline. She also has a very good sense of humor and encourages her students to be relaxed and enjoy their playing music. She suggests singing while playing and sometimes will sing herself during the lessons as students play so it is more fun.

I am happy to recommend Kasia and the Able To Play Studio. The Simply Music method is a fun and effective way to learn to play the piano.

I have so appreciated my daughter's music teacher, Kasia Haroldsen.  She is exceptional at promoting both music as a discipline and as another  language which her students may communicate through.  She has been consistently patient and encouraging and yet quick to percieve the cause of performance problems.  She works on helping the student with the basics so they are able to enjoy playing music!
